Benefits of Invisalign

Clear – Invisalign® uses aligners instead of braces, that are nearly invisible. Most peopled will struggle to notice when you are wearing your aligners. This means that you can smile confidently throughout your treatment. You’ll also have the added benefit of enjoying the improvements to your smile during your transformation before its finished without any unsightly metal at all.

Removable – You can fully remove your clear aligners for eating, drinking and brushing your teeth, as well as for social events or situations should you wish. In fact studies have shown that being removable helps make it significantly easier for patients to achieve and maintain good oral hygiene, making it a healthier alternative to fixed braces as well.

3D Video Treatment plan – Invisalign has its own 3D treatment planning software, which your dentist will use to create and share with you your own individual treatment plan even before you’ve committed to going ahead with treatment. Click here to see an example.

Research, Development & Reputation – So far over 480,000 patients worldwide have improved their smile thanks to Invisalign®. More than 10,000 doctors are prescribing Invisalign®. Every year Invisalign® is continually investing in research & development as well as customer and doctor care allowing them remain the market leader for clear aligners.

The Invisalign® procedure

Most people will come and visit us for a free consultation prior to choosing to have an Invisalign records visit and creating their own 3D Clincheck treatment plan. We’ll provide them with options in terms of prices, packages and payment plans.

The next step after this is to return to Adams Dental for your Invisalign records appointment. One of our Invisalign certified dentists first will evaluate and take an impression (mould) of your teeth.

This impression is then sent to the Invisalign laboratory where it is scanned into a computer to provide an accurate 3-dimensional model of your teeth. Sophisticated software then simulates the movement of your teeth during treatment. We will review this computer simulation (Clincheck) with you, to show you what your new smile will look like at the end of treatment and can make adjustments as necessary.

Once you and your dentist approve the treatment plan, a series of aligners is created by Invisalign® and shipped to us were you’ll come in to fit your aligners for the first time. Following this most you’ll wear your aligner every day for around 22 hours each day, removing them for eating, drinking and cleaning. Most patients will return to see us roughly every six to eight weeks, and will change over to a brand new aligner at home around every two weeks until they’ve arrived at their beautiful, straight new smile.
