If you have lost all or some of your natural teeth, chances are you will be feeling that not just your teeth are missing. Despite medical advancements in dentistry, tooth loss remains a prevalent problem in the UK – mostly due to tooth decay, gingivitis (gum disease), or injury.
Tooth loss can cause a ‘sunken’ look to the face, and can also cause problems with eating and drinking. Speech is also often affected by tooth loss.
Until recent years, the only treatment available for people were dentures or bridges, but technological advances now mean that we can now provide dental implants. North London is home to Adams Dental, a long established and family run practice that provides high quality dental implants for patients, in a personal and friendly way that really cares fro your unique dental needs. Nervous dental patients need not worry; we have an excellent reputation for having a safe and relaxed atmosphere, with a range of options to distract or entertainment you, including hypnosis and sedation. Other dentists often refer nervous patients to us!
How does it work?
Dental implants are a great new way of replacing teeth. They look natural, and are very strong and long-lasting. Dental implants are a clinically proven and safe route back to getting a smile you are truly proud of.
The implants are tiny titanium metal tubes. Each tube is gently placed into where the missing tooth is. As time passes, the jawbone naturally fuses with the tube, forming a real root to which it is fixed.
What if I have no teeth?
Not a problem. We can provide fixed bridgework to replace the missing teeth if there is sufficient bone to work with. Implants can also hold dentures in place much more firmly, making problems with eating and speaking a thing of the past.
In North London, dental implants are available at a reliable family practice in whom you can truly trust. Adams Dental can be found at 244A Chase Side, Southgate, North London. Dental implants may well be the best choice for you to restore your smile, your lifestyle and your confidence.
